Sacramento business leader Mark Friedman is convinced UC Davis is a terrific investment.

“UC Davis presents the greatest hope and power to make our region more interesting, more exciting and more prosperous,” said Friedman who is leading the Downtown Arena Project in Sacramento.

Friedman and his wife, UC Davis Professor Marjorie Solomon, have given to UC Davis Health System, the School of Education and the Arboretum among other areas because they are confident UC Davis will pave the way for success throughout the entire region – through research and development in alternative sources of energy, agriculture, medicine and more.

“I think we often overlook the jewel that is in our midst. UC Davis is the greatest public research institution in the world,” he said. ”I cannot think of any investment in our future that is more worthwhile than supporting the mission of this university.”
